Hmmm, let's see what's happened since my last post.
Yesterday, we started our real lectures - we had a quick one on intercession in the morning and then have been talking about the character of God for the last 2 days. The lady speaking to us is this older lady named Pat Derham, who is amazing. She has only been in missions since her 50s but has so many amazing stories of her many travels to India and Malaysia. It has been so good so far! This afternoon we also had auditions for the music part of the DTS - through which it was confirmed to me that my calling IS NOT singing. yep. I am, however, really excited about dancing. I always forget how much I miss it until I have an oportunity to dance, and I get so excited! And what better reason to dance than to spread the gospel. I'm so excited to start working on it!
Other than that, it's been pretty quiet around here. Our group has been sharing our testimonies every night, which has been cool to hear. This afternoon we have quite a bit of free time, which is nice to relax, though there isn't a whole lot to do. I've been working on some of our required reading and homework, and just hanging out with people. I can't believe I've only been here for a week, it seems like I know these people so well! I can't wait to see how close we get after a few months.
That's about it from down under. oh, and it's right about 100 today, and beautiful out! Sorry to all who are stuck back in MN :)
thanks for your prayers, love you all!
